Schoenstatt operates two conference & retreat facilities in Australia:

 

Mount Schoenstatt Conference & Retreat Centre

230 Fairlight Road, Mulgoa

Mount Schoenstatt at Mulgoa is just over an hour west of Sydney and is set on 50 acres of bushland and open fields.

Offering a variety of accommodation in two centres – the Joseph Kentenich House and the Home of Light – Mount Schoenstatt is an ideal place for individual and group retreats, seminars and conferences.

Accommodation
JOSEPH KENTENICH HOUSE
* Up to 47 beds for groups and
19 rooms for couples
* Up to 47 beds are available for
school retreats (including staff
accommodation)*
*All rooms have ensuite or
shared ensuite and heating

HOME OF LIGHT
*Up to 33 beds (dormitory)
and 8 beds (4 rooms) are available*

* For co-educational school retreats,
male students will be accommodated
in the Home of Light.

 

Conference Facilities
Conference facilities are available for meetings, seminars and retreat gatherings. The Conference Room seats up to 100 people theatre-style and opens up into a Chapel for liturgies. A sunroom is attached for serving refreshments or is suitable as a smaller meeting room for up to 35 people. The Family Hall which seats up to 200 people theatre-style has its own refreshment area. Both have audiovisual equipment available.

 

Meals & catering
Catering is available for up to 76 people. The large dining room accommodates 56 people and the small dining room accommodates 20 people.

* A reading room and TV/Video room are
available for relaxation and entertainment.
* Telephone available.
* There is on-site parking and disabled access throughout the Centre.
* Picnic facilities are provided on the grounds.

 

Local Sights
Mount Schoentstatt is close by car to the Blue Mountains (pictured below), Warragamba Dam, Nepean River, Penrith Whitewater and Regatta Olympic Centres and St Thomas’ Historic Church. There are also many local cafes, golf courses, clubs and horse-riding schools.

 

Retreat Programs

Emilie House, close to the Shrine, offers facilities for day functions which include retreat days for Primary and High School students as well as professional development days for teachers.

Conference Centre facilities
The Conference Room provides space for up to 100 people. A kitchenette for refreshments, audiovisual equipment, onsite parking and disabled access are available in the Centre.
